John Tippins is a seasoned real estate developer, owner, and operator with extensive experience in multifamily, retail, and office projects. As the Founder & CEO of Northcap Commercial, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the real estate landscape of Las Vegas and beyond.
Throughout his career, John has been an operating partner and broker for some of the most prominent real estate investment firms, including Starwood Capital, TPG, LeFrak Organization, FDIC, Dune Real Estate Partners, Silverstein Properties, and Southern Land Companies. His expertise extends to high-profile development projects, including serving as a partner in the development of the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, consolidating over 60 leases into a single, state-of-the-art facility.
Recently, John has successfully closed three major land acquisitions from the City of Las Vegas for mixed-use development, further reinforcing his commitment to urban revitalization.
A driving force in the transformation of Downtown Las Vegas, John has been involved in over 100 real estate transactions throughout his career. His strategic vision and deep industry knowledge have made him a trusted leader in the field.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and is a proud graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, Class of 2007. Committed to civic engagement and philanthropy, he serves as Board Chair for the Mayor’s Fund and is an Advisory Board Member for UNLV, among other leadership roles in the community.
